Therapy

I offer individual therapy sessions to adolescents and adults to address a range of concerns. My style is warm, collaborative, empathetic, and non-judgmental.

I might be a good fit for you if you are experiencing concerns related to:

  • Social anxiety

  • Generalized anxiety or worries

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

  • Panic attacks

  • Agoraphobia

  • Eating disorders, or body image concerns

  • Perfectionism

As a former D1 athlete, I love working with athletes of all ages who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, eating, or body image concerns.

For those with eating or body image related concerns, I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework and do not offer weight loss or weight management services.

I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider and strive to provide care that is inclusive and respectful of all identities.

Therapy with me is active - we will practice specific skills during and outside of session to help you meet your goals and make the changes you're looking for. Specifically, I use treatments backed by research including exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Let’s work together to determine the best way to address your concerns!

Intensive Treatment

Intensive Treatment is a focused intervention approach for clients who would benefit from a higher level of care than standard once-weekly outpatient therapy. In Intensive Treatment, clients can receive:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders

  • Exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive compulsive disorder

Intensive Treatment plans are individualized to the client but generally range from 5 to 9 sessions per week over the course of 3 to 6 weeks.

Intensive Treatment is ideal for someone who may be unable to access higher levels of care for various reasons and allows clients the convenience of engaging in treatment without leaving home. Research shows that intensive treatment is as effective as standard treatment, but improvements are made in a shorter period of time.

Eligibility for Intensive Treatment is determined based on a comprehensive intake assessment. Following the assessment, a diagnosis and detailed treatment plan will be discussed and finalized with the client.
